Prompts Not Working in 2025? Here’s Why ChatGPT & Claude Still Can’t Think Like You (And The Secret To Perfect Responses)

Context beats prompting, every single time.

Say you & I are going to talk about coffee.

Okay, what kind? Espresso, Cold Brew, Nitro?

Okay why? To get energised or to brew barista quality at home?

If we are talking about brewing an espresso at home, I am going to bring up manual lever machines because they are 0 maintenance and don’t run the risk of getting damaged. Then that conversation will relate to Flair 58 and I will point to the lever, which allows you to pull down and put pressure on the coffee grounds (“puck”) to extract espresso.

But if we are talking about getting energised, I’d tell you about how each brewing method results in different amounts of caffeine. Espresso is concentrated. Cold Brews are diluted. Espresso gives you a spike. Cold Brew wakes you up more slowly.

See how context changes everything?

But with ChatGPT or Claude, that context is either missing or requires a massive copy/paste effort.

So now you’re in a loop:

  • Bad Responses
  • Find, copy & paste or upload specific info from Notion pages or Google docs
  • Better Responses
  • Losing focus because of constant tab switching
  • End up writing or doing the intended task slower with AI than on your own
  • Give up
  • Try again tomorrow expecting different results

Which means end up with one of 2 complaints:

  1. ChatGPT/Claude sucks (people who don’t know how to prompt)
  2. ChatGPT/Claude can’t think like me despite every effort (prompt engineers who forget the importance of context

This keeps happening because your “context” is trapped in 16 Different Apps that never talk to each other.

Traditional note-taking apps are like libraries—everything has its proper place, but you need to know exactly where to look. They force you to be your own librarian, constantly tagging and labelling.

You have countless “aha moments” in random notes apps, 200+ Twitter threads from the past year, 147 Notion pages of course outlines, dozens of recorded Looms & Zooms and more… but bringing them together is impossible.

Which is why you capture a few notes here and there, but forget about where you saved what.

Now think about how memories surface when you’re in conversation.

You don’t mentally walk through file cabinets or scroll through folders. The right memory just… appears, triggered by the context of the moment.

So the way out is give AI access to specific parts of your knowledge. I am talking about a literal connection to your (second) brain.

One where ChatGPT & Claude can actually pull from a portion of your knowledge to match the exact thought going through your head.

That’s exactly how the Second Brain OS works.

It’s the difference between a library and a neural network

  • Ideas connect naturally on their own
  • New thoughts automatically link to related ones
  • Adding more information makes your Second Brain OS stronger
  • You can find information easily because it’s connected to related ideas

And the best part?

  • You don’t have to tag it
  • You don’t have to remember it
  • You don’t have to maintain a complex system

It gets even better. Remember that feeling when you asked someone to do something and they just… did it?

That’s your Second Brain OS with Actions:

  • Want to push that draft straight to your Notion for a newsletter? Just ask.
  • Want it to watch a YouTube Video to help you script in a specific creator’s style? Just ask
  • Want those screenshots from Kindle pushed as text to your knowledge? Just ask

No more copy/pasting. No more file uploading. No more hallucinations. Just your knowledge, accessible through natural conversation. And it gets your work done, instead of making you work twice as hard.

Now it’s time for me to ask you some important question.

  1. How many times have you had the exact same conversation with ChatGPT or Claude, explaining the same context over and over again?
  2. How much do you suffer from brain fog & writer’s block?
  3. How many times have you ended a busy day only to realise it wasn’t productive?

I know that you haven’t made a spreadsheet to narrow down the true cost of “the way you work”.

I know that you thought the productivity war ended when you overcame procrastination.

But it’s time for us to have an honest conversation.

With AI Agents on the way, settling for mediocrity isn’t an option you have any more.

Here’s my prediction: we are going to see a decline in user interfaces for humans, because we will be asking AI Agents to do our work.

It’s going to happen way quicker this time, because for some reason the human race adapted faster to using ChatGPT than to making Tik Toks. Correct me if I am wrong, for the first time in history, human behaviour across the globe picked productivity over entertainment.

And the adaption to AI Agents? Just have a quick look at how fast this keyword is growing.

Which means you already have an outdated daily workflow.

Just like searching Google, using “vanilla” ChatGPT or Claude in 2025 will not be considered a skill.

Right now, even if you are average at your job, a human who can use ChatGPT or Claude hasn’t replaced you. What’s replaced you is a version of yourself that knows how to prompt. This was bound to happen.

When shit hit the fan, you took action.

But let me repeat, prompting, just like searching through Google has a shelf life. And at that point, it doesn’t matter even if you are above average.

Because you & I are no match for someone with an army of AI Agents.

What’s going to replace you is a person with an army of AI agents who can perform actions on their behalf AND is connected to everything they know (i.e their second brain).

For good reason. If I can get one rockstar who has a team that makes 0 errors and 0 mistakes AND that team has 100% access to every data point of my business, it’s going to give me an unbeatable return while freeing up my time for living life.

  • I don’t have to answer their questions
  • I don’t have to breakdown every project into tasks
  • I don’t have to waste countless hours explaining things

All I have to do is set a goal and monitor.

People who own a business aren’t actually worried about the “Revenue – Cost = Profit” equation— they’re worried about paying for (human) resources that don’t outweigh their cost.

But the minute a cost feels like a 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x return, it doesn’t feel like a cost anymore. It feels like an investment. A bloody good one.

Now you have a choice. Your replacement can be a better version of you OR someone else.

But if that person isn’t a better version of you, it definitely will be someone else.

Today’s Final Action Step: you need to install the Second Brain OS. Period.
