Using ChatGPT Or Claude To Create Content? Avoid The #1 Mistake Which Kills Your Authenticity

The problem really isn’t AI.

It’s the people who continue to feed it garbage and pump out trash.

And then they promise you that their prompts & templates will magically help you create “unique” content.

I’d argue their prompts will probably turn you into a walking, talking generic robot that can’t think critically (try it and tell me I am wrong).

But there’s good news: this wave of AI generated fluff is leaving people starved for authenticity.

Think about it. When you watch a YouTube Video and solve a problem, your perception allows you to come up with a unique angle specific to your personality and your situation.

Here’s a real example:

I finished Atomic Habits and the next day, I ordered a pack of NFC tags to help me automate parts of my family’s morning routine.

This included setting alarms to manage my son’s breakfast, nap and lunch as well as switching the lights off in the bedroom.

My wife read it, and she made a habit of setting his breakfast table the night before so she can get ready for work while I feed him breakfast. A much simpler, yet equally effective thing to do!

You have the ability to take another person’s advice and apply it to solve your problems in a way they never could.

Because only you have access to your memories and circumstances.

I know people who:

  • Read the book and wasted time building perfect productivity systems in Notion
  • Took the lessons and turned them into a daily reading & writing habit that enabled their personal brand

And I am 100% certain that your reaction and resulting behaviour from reading Atomic Habits would be completely different.

But if you make “vanilla” ChatGPT or Claude read Atomic Habits, the best you can achieve is a summary.

And it doesn’t matter if you do this from Africa, Asia, America, Europe or Oceania. The result is similar.

Both are just giant text manipulation machines, not “thinkers” (at least not in their vanilla states). You can get them to say the same thing in different ways but rarely do they come up with new things (on their own).

Why? Because they lack context!

But when I capture an idea with my Second Brain OS, it’s meaningfully related to my past and I can pull that context directly in conversation with ChatGPT or Claude.

Remember how I used NFC tags earlier to zoom into my sacred hour? Let me show you how searching for “NFC Tags Routine Automation Apple Home Kit” gives me a list of my unique experiences:

  • Using them to switch on a front and back ring light when I am creating content
  • Using them to send a WhatsApp in the Family Group when I am leaving home after 9.00 pm
  • Using them to share my location instantly with my wife and my dad if I ever run into a car accident
  • Using them to log my workout on my way out of the gym and setting a reminder to drink water

This means when I write a Newsletter, Blog or Social Media Post, my unique perspective on Atomic Habits will allow me to stand out in search results AND pack a ton of value for my readers.

This is where my content becomes unmistakably mine.

While others are churning out AI-generated content that sounds the same, my Second Brain OS helps me share solutions shaped by my specific journey and tell stories that could only come from my experiences.

The result?

Content that doesn’t just inform—it resonates.

Content that couldn’t have been written by anyone else, because it’s filtered through your my set of experiences, challenges, and solutions.

And all this happens with a 4 step workflow for going from rough idea to authentic content: capture, search, bring together and edit.

When you install the Second Brain OS, I talk in great detail about this 4 step process on Day 3 of the Crash Course that comes with your purchase.

Today’s Action Step:

Take a piece of content you’ve created with AI recently. Ask yourself:

  • Does it include your unique experiences?
  • Does it solve problems in your specific way?
  • Would your audience know it’s yours without seeing your name?

If you answered “no” to any of these, it’s time to rethink your approach.

So if you want to stop being muted on social media, then here’s how to setup a Second Brain Operating System:
